Baby Pokers...Where You At?

Anyone else here occasionally poke their belly to instigate LO to move?

I do feel a tiny bit bad for it at times, but then when he reacts with a retaliatory kick or punch it only makes me do it again, hehe.

I hope I'm not hurting him or setting him up for years of therapy from in-utero abuse. ::bites lip::

I am a baby poker.  My OB does it too sometimes.  I don't feel bad.  I poked DS and he's just fine.  LOL.

LOL its was a fun game when she was smaller but now her jabs hurt.  Don't worry about it and have fun with it... its kinda how we play or communicate with her in there LOL!  Hubby loves playing too!

I try but he doesn't like to play along. If he's kicking before he'll stop, and if I'm trying to get him to kick he plays dumb.

I am a baby poker too! I had mac-n-cheese and a yogurt for lunch and Emma got the hiccups. So she saved me from having to poke her this time.

I do it all the time. If she hasn't moved in a while or if I just can't remember if she's moved in a while. Can't be worse than being smacked on the belly with the u/s wand to get them to move.

I poke constantly, especially if I haven't felt her move for a while.  I figured my doctor pushes on the belly much harder than me - so LO should be fine.

All the time! I poke and prod to get LO moving around if I haven't felt him move in a while.  I'm sure he's plotting his revenge in there after all of the times I've poked at him!

I have to do it in secret. If my DH sees he'll be like "honey, don't poke our son!"

I do all the time... especially if she's in an uncomfortable spot for me... or if DH just wants to see her move.

I do it.  I try not to poke anywhere his head might be though, well now its way low so I don't really worry about it.  I wonder if to them it feels like the fish at the pet stores that have the signs "don't tap on the glass".

DH and I are both baby pokers. My OB asked me if we did and I told her and she didn't care, I'm sure almost everyone does. How can you not?? we poke her a little if she's been moving and then DH tries to feel her and she stops. A tiny poke ,and tada!
