Waiting is driving me NUTS!!

Hello ladies!!

I'll admit I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but this waiting is driving me crazy so I had to get it out!! *lol* 

I saw the Dr. on Tuesday which was my due date, had an internal exam and to my surprise he informed me that I was all ready 3cm dialated, babys head was way down where it should be, and that he could feel my "bag of membranes" as he called it! Oh, and in the process of him doing my internal my mucous plug came out too! I had no idea as I hadn't really had any cramping or contractions so I was both shocked and excited to hear the news. He said he didn't think I would make it until Friday (TODAY), and that I probably wouldn't need the u/s appt he wanted to make for me for Monday. Well here it is Friday and still NOTHING! It's frustrating!! I thought for sure I would have been in labour by now but nothing is really happening. I can still feel her moving around in there, and she's very low because I swear I can pee every half hour but that's about it. DH is beside himself and is now paranoid that something is wrong! He called me from work today to tell me that he was talking to one of the girls he works with and they told him that when their water broke it was only a trickle not a big gush and maybe I missed it! And that she found it odd that I wasn't in labour yet either!! Good lord!! I told him that even if it was just a trickle I would have noticed something, and I haven't had any additional discharge or anything going on really.

We're both just getting really anxious and want to get this show on the road all ready!! I never thought I would be saying bring on the pain, but let's just get going all ready!! Today is also DH's birthday so he was hoping the baby was hanging on to make an appearance today... well the day is half over and still nothing!! I'm trying to walk as much as possible, my Mom told me to do squats, we've done the sex thing a few times... GEEZ!! 

Anyway, sorry for the rambling just my nerves talking!! I hope everyone is doing great!!

Take a nap and enjoy the sleep while you can. The insanity that comes with you FINALLY giving birth will happen when it needs to.

Same here!  Hubby says he's pulling all the old-wives tale stuff this weekend... spicey food followed by a walk then some nookie!  LOL, I laughed at the last one cause of the mental image of him dealing with the belly obstruction!

I totally hear you, but I'm actually praying that I don't go into labor today b/c my dr is OOT until tomorrow morning. Im trying my best to do nothing today!

Maybe you just need to relax. Take a nap, take a bath, drink some tea or go for a long walk.

GL to you! Maybe we'll both have weekend babies!

I understand your pain.  I am so anxious to have my baby.  Right now I'm having some painful cramping... I'm praying this is it.  Who knows, though.  So far these pains have led to nothing.

I am one week behind you, but I too am tired of waiting.  We have been doing the walking and raspberry leaf tea, but I am a planner and this stinks.

I hear ya. Not quite as far along as you but with everyday that passes, my chances of a VBAC seem to get slimmer and slimmer (they even scheduled my c/s date for 10.5) so I'm completely impatient at this point.

I'm a week behind, but I hate the thought that I might have another 2 weeks. The only thing that is making me feel better is knowing that my last day of work is wed!

I'm with you ladies as well.  I had a similar appt with my dr yesterday and he said the same thing, that he didn't even think discussing an induction Monday was necessary b/c he thought I wouldn't make it til then.  Every little cramp or pain I get I'm so hoping this is it!
