Has anyone else who gets these seen an increase since you've been pregnant? Sad

Re: Tonsil Stones while pregnant?

  • WOW!  I had my tonsils out when I was 21 or 22.  The reason?  I had these "things" that kept getting caught in my tonsils.  Apparently my doctors didn't know they had a name!

That was several years before I had kids but I had to have my tonsils removed.  They were SO bothersome!

  • I had my tonsils out a few years ago due to these.  They are a major pain, sorry they are getting worst for you!  I don't have any suggestions.

  • yes!!!!! i had them mostly though in the 1st tri...when i had the most acid reflux and stuff.  but they seem to be going away now.  Ugh they are so gross i want to gag thinking about them.
  • I have definitely had a few of these! Ugh! I hate them. They're so freakin' nasty. I know it has to do with the increased post nasal drip I've been having. *gag* Ick!

  • I've always had post nasal drip. I finally got my tonsils out this past November and glad I did knowing that they would have gotten worse while I was pregnant.  I do not miss those things.

  • I've had these things for years, although not much the past few years.  I usually get them when my asthma or allergies are acting up.  They are just an accumulation of dead tissue.  I usually just pop them out by pushing on the tonsil with my finger.  They're gross, but harmless.
  • My ENT called them cryptic tonsils. ?They're part of the reason I had my tonsils out a few years ago (wasn't pregnant). ?However, one ENT said they're harmless and refused to take my tonsils out. ?My second opinion said they're harmless but the only way to get rid of them is to take your tonsils out. ?I went with the second ENT.
