I went to two grocery stores last weekend looking for pumpkin, everyone was out. WTF. The next store is about 30 minutes away, but i am thinking about going there this weekend if Wal-Mart hasn't figured out that it's friggin' fall and I need some pumpkin bread.

We call our LO a pumpkin muffin, and my Mom came over here yesterday armed with chocolate chip pumpkin muffins for me and DH.  DELISH!

I have a recipe for pumpkin bars (think pumpkin cake) with cream cheese frosting which I find absolutely phenomenal.  Now I think I will have to make those.

Williams-Sonoma makes a pumpkin bread mix that is absolutely delish.  You just add water, eggs and butter.  https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/fd544/index.cfm.  No puree needed!  (I'd def recommend making the cream cheese frosting recipe on the package, too.) Mmmm!

I've heard rumors about puree shortages across the country.  I bet Starbucks would sell you a whole loaf of their pumpkin bread if you asked. It is pretty good. I buy a slice every now and then. 

I heard this too, but did manage to find some at the grocery store.

I use butternut squash instead to make pumpkin bread and/or muffins. Get the squash, cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and microwave it until it's soft (usually about 10-15 minutes). Scoop it out and use it as the recipe calls for. It's delish-I promise!
