Traveling with a pack and play

in D.C. Area Babies
We are going cross-country in a couple of weeks to visit friends and family.  I think I need to bring the pack and play because we am going to be staying at a few different hotels and homes.  None of the people we are visiting have kids.  Has anyone traveled with one before?  Any advice for checking it?

    I pack mine in a monster sized duffle bag I own, and then pack other items around it.

    We've traveled several times with two pack and plays.  Just attached an address tag to the handle of the pack and play and checked it just like they are a regular piece of luggage.  They are both in great condition still.
