So I had to have an additional U/S to check baby's kidneys (which are ok now). Baby is breech. I have been quoted a usual 50% chance of baby turning to head down. However, my OB today said because of a few factors: it's my first baby, where the placenta is located and low amniotic fluid causing things to be a little tight in there, that she doubts he'll turn. His butt is wedged kinda low in my pelvis.
Anyone have any experience or insight?
I am cracking my husband up by trying different positions all over the floor trying to get baby to turn. I am heading to the pool this weekend to do some handstands and flip turns.
Re: Breech at 34 wks = C section?...
My baby was transverse FOREVER and turned at 37 weeks, RIGHT before I was about to do a scheduled external version.
Babies do and can turn after 34 weeks. I wanted to do everything I could to avoid c-section. So keep on with those positions girl...they can work! I also went to the chiropractor for the Webster technique. I believe that helped a lot too!
my LO was frank breech since 27 weeks, he was just comfortable there, I had a c-section as a result... so my sons head was stuck by my ribs for the last majority of my pregnancy... c-section went well though
