Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Swaddle Me users

Do you feel like your LO gets pretty hot in there?

All I have her in underneath is a onesie, and she still seems to get really warm.

Did anyone else experience this? Is the miracle blanket lighter weight fabric?

Re: Swaddle Me users

  • It depends on what fabric swaddleme you are using. They make cotton, fleece (i think) and flannel. I used both the flannel and the cotton swaddleme. My MB was a lighter weight material, but you still have to wrap it several times. We don't swaddle DD anymore, but when we did, we kept our house pretty cool. She didn't seem to get warm, but I think it had to do more with the temp of our house than her swaddle.

  • We use the cotton.  He only gets warm in it if he gets really fussy or is moving around a lot.  He wears a cotton short sleeve onesie underneath.

haha Yeah, that'll do it.  I didn't know they made cotton either as I was buying my SwaddleMe's from Walmart and Kmart (they only sell fleece in-store) since there are no BRU's near us.  When I found out, I went out and bought them and they're soooo much nicer and cooler.  They wrap tighter too and DS can still (barely) fit in the small (he outgrew the fleece a while ago).

  • We have all three.  When she was little I liked the cotton best.  The fleece fits the best now that she's bigger.  We have air and now it's fall, so she wears a light sleeper under the fleece.
