Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking here for awhile and thought I would say hello.  I was adopted as an infant and just thought I would say thanks to all of you making the wonderful decision my parents also made.  I have had a wonderful life with the most amazing parents I could have. I do not know much about my birth family, open adoption was pretty much unheard of 32 years ago.  But I have never felt much of a need to know anything, other than my medical history.  If anyone has any questions from an adopted persons perspective please feel free to ask.

Hey, welcome to the board. I'm adopted too. Our stories are pretty similar. I don't even have my medical history though, though I haven't really worried too much about it. I just take things as they come and overall, I've been pretty healthy. Nice to meet you, hope you stick around for a bit!

Hi, Thanks for the welcome.  I actually don't have my medical history, it's just the only thing that I really would like to have.  I work as an oncology nurse and family history is so strongly tied into some cancers.  I just would like to know if there are any in my history.  But, it's not important enough for me to search for my birth family.
