Okay i have been taking ovulation tests and know exactly when i ovulate. I had my last period on Aug 21. My cycle runs every 30 days like clock work. But this month. On sunday i took a pregnancy test because i had not started my period that day. It was negative. Tuesday i had some brown discharge but still no period. Today first thing in the morning i took another pregnancy test still negative. I am also spotting but very lightly and only when i wipe. Anyone have any ideas? Could i be pregnant?

Every month can be different, so "clockwork" is a misnomer. Lots of ladies on here chart which helps know more about what could be going on from month to month.
If your HPT is negative, you are not pregnant or in the very rare percentage of women who cannot use a HPT.
If you're spotting, sounds like your period is en route.
Call your doc when in doubt.
I just don't have the energy today.

Ahhh... yes, this too.
Per PP, you can get positive OPKs and not ovulate. Your body can gear up several times to ovulate, spiking hormone levels, but not ovulate. PPs have some good advice.
I'm going to make an AWESOME big brother.

Best.line.of.the.day.
Wow.... amazing.
::sighs::
Some people catch their surge with the OPK.
Sometimes you will get positives in your cycle and you may never ovulate.
You do not know if you ovulate without taking your temps.
You can still get a surge of LH and never ovulate.
If you feel that a pregnancy test is wrong, go get a blood test.
People are not clockwork.
If you are past 60 days and no AF, call your doctor.
We are not doctors and do not have the power to know what is wrong, if anything is wrong, with your body.
Charting may help you out
ETA:: I orginally said HCG about the surge.

This. Exactly.
try First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, I read this PT detected hCG at concentrations as low as 6.5 mIU/ml (thousandths of an International Unit per milliliter) - that's almost sensitive enough to detect any pregnancy soon after implantation.
Hope this helps!
I would definitley start charting..

Yes, she has her own post a few above. Tricky.
sorry, Tuesday was yesterday. You are late...with your question. Invest in a BBT and take your temp. Chart. www.fertilityfriend.com
In fact. you don't know when/if you ovulated and therefore do not know if you are actually late. This happened to me before I learned how to read my body and that charting is essential to confirming O.

I just replied similarly in your own post, but here it is too.
Take a breath. Women here know a lot about TTC and are educated about their bodies and the process. Please check out the information that was given to you. And if you are that unsure about the process and have your own similar question, be careful advising others if you don't know the answer.
Your article link is from Jan 2003, so I wouldn't rely on it as a lot can change in nearly seven years.
Good luck to you.
hee. I am not here to blow sunshine up anyones a$$. I am here to support ladies who are trying their best to educate themselves about how their bodies work in order to get pregnant. That article doens't provide any solid facts. "soon after implantation" is useless because it is nearly impossible to tell exactly when that is.
