Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11 after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
#2 EDD 2/5/13 dx with anti-BIG E antibody, seeing a MFM
I don't take one single minute for granted.
I like Lila and think it's much less popular than Lily, etc. (Lily is also my dog's name.) And, while Lydia is pretty, IMO it sounds much more like a 40 year old and not a little girl.

LOL! i agree.
Word. Lose the "z"!
Does spelling have to be an issue every frikkin' post? This topic is getting so old. Especially when it's brought up and has absolutely nothing to do with the original post.
Thanks ladies. My heart is pretty much set on Lila despite it's growing popularity and closeness to other popular names, but there are some other great ones in here in case I go through second thoughts! Now with all that said... I will probably find out we are having a boy! hahaha

You're always the person who gets so bothered that people comment on the spelling. Stop commenting on people commenting on the spelling! lol

I'm not commenting on the spelling. I think alternative spellings are dumb, but I rarely say anything about that. I comment about bad names, not spellings.
Re: If Lila is too popular...
I don't know about the popularity but what about:
Lucy
Leah
Lily
Lauren
I'm not sure where it ranks as opposed to Lila, but I love Lydia! I have Lauren, Lydia and Lila(h) on my list of favorite girls' names.
Laura, Lucy, Luciana, Lanie, Landry, Larissa, Laurel, Lenore, Libby, Lilith, Lindsay, Lorelei, Lysandra....
That's all I can come up with
Leigh, Laney, Laina, Luna, Lilly, Lindzie, Lori, Lana, Allie

Layla, Leela, Liza, Lana or Lola would be good alternatives. Although, I don't think Lila is too popular, IMO.
