Its such a pretty day I would take them down to the waterfront if they aren't from around here! The waterfront restaurant down there has very reasonable prices and great food. If they want to go up in the space needle I suggest going up for a drink and then you don't have to pay the toll to go up!
First let me say - definitely don't have lunch at EMP. I worked there for 2.5 years before they changed the restaurant and bar over... it used to be good. Now it's totally meh and overpriced!
Cafe Darclee is close by. I've heard great things about it, but never been myself.
And I think Peso's is open for lunch. That's a pretty fun place.
Thanks guys! Also, I should say, it needs to be not too pricey and baby-friendly, preferably walking distance. We *could* take the monorail downtown, but not sure we wanna do that.
Seriously there are tons of good restaurants around EMP, but Icon is the first one that popped into my head. It's a great lunch spot IMO.
I was just at Icon last week and it was D.E.A.D. Looks like they could use the support! Serious Pie is a good lunch spot but might be crowded since it's so small. Also the S. Lake Union is a great area and you could walk or take the SLUT. Joey's is one of my favs.

It's a bit of a walk, but you could take the SLUT to Fare Start, it's decently priced and a reall good concept, if you haven't hear of it, check it out. The fish and chips are great! 7th and Virginia.

Ooh, Cafe Darclee may be a winner. Looks perfect! Thanks, Michelle!
