What do you want to be when you grow up?

I am not going back to teaching when it's time to go back to work. ?And I don't know when I'll be going back to work---sooner rather than later if we don't get pregnant sometime in the next 6 months or so. ?

I am so not sure what I want to do. ?I grew up just thinking about teaching. ?Loved it for a long time, but won't go back into the educational system as it is now, for a variety of reasons. ?

I have lots of thinking to do.?

  • I just changed jobs, and thus far I am happy where I am.  NOT teaching.

Remind me that on snow days.

  • I think I want to go back to non-profit. I volunteer at a battered woman's shelter and I would love to be a help to these women somehow.

I'm currently waiting on my acceptance letter to start in the January program.

  • For the most part, I'm doing something I love now. I work in a media company (within a software company) that focuses on fashion & beauty. I get to combine my analytical side with my love for clothes! :-) DH laughs when I describe my work day - I get to read magazines at work.

ETA: my job also has a strong business/revenue part, which I enjoy. It's a nice combination of two things I really like.

When I grow up, I want your job!  I was a Merchandise Management major in college and my option was in Market Analysis and Research.  I sometimes miss this aspect of my life from pre-baby.

  • I also have a teaching degree, but don't plan on using it when/if I go back to work.  Right now I work part-time from home for FIL...not my dream job, but it's great for now.  If I had my choice, I'd go back to school to become a L&D nurse.
  • Mechanical Engineer. I work in a chemical plant as a Chemical Process Operator. Started here just after I had my son. I would like to move up to an Engineer position.. just need to find time someday to do the schooling for it...not that my job now doesn't pay good, but it's just one of those "when i grow up dreams" hehe
