Constant Lightning crotch?

So, ive been trying all these induction techniques, from sex, to nipple stimulation, to bouncing on a birth ball. tonight I feel this constant sharp pain (as some of you refer to as lightning crotch) on my cervix area for the past few hours. Im bouncing on the ball more.. but does this sound promising to you? I know none of you are doctors, but my midwives wont even check if I'm dilated till I'm 41 weeks

wow, that's weird..my dr started checking when I was almost 37 weeks. anyway...I really have no idea if that sounds promising or not lol

I'd be annoyed at the Midwife - what is the harm in checking??

When I went to my appt at 38 weeks, the nurse got hte gown out all ready for me to get an internal, and I was psyched... then the midwife came in and said "we wont be needing that.." and put it away. so I expected to see that gown again last time I went (at 39.5 weeks) but nope. I actually asked to be checked and the nurse said, ill ask if they will check you, but they usually wait till the 41 week appt. Love my midwives, but this one thing makes me angry.

I had that feeling earlier today, actually.  Sharp, constant crotch pain for 45 minutes or so with occasional contraction (BH?  I don't know). 

But then it went away, and nothing's doing.  Sorry for the non-encouraging report- but maybe it will work out for you!

And I don't know where I am, either... my MWs don't do internals, and while sometime I'd like to know how I'm "progressing," I'd feel pretty silly arguing for a non-necessary procedure that won't actually tell anyone anything useful.  I would get one around 41 too, though, when it would mean something- how things would look for induction if it became necessary.
