Eco-Friendly Family

Re: Your thoughts on METHOD products....

I just bought their hardwood floor polisher...and I'm looking into other cleaners since they market themselves as "biodegradable & eco-friendly".  I still prefer the "Seventh Generation" for certain products because I know that company is committed to more than just "green products".  Still, it's nice to have options.

Have you tried METHOD products?  What did you think of them?  Do you consider this a "green" product line?

  • They're not the greenest, but better than some alternatives. I use their stuff occasionally. I think they work well.

  • I haven't liked any of the ones I have tried.  I am a vinegar or baking soda junkie, and those are way cheaper.

  • I like method products - everything smells SO GOOD. It's a good compromise on some items with Hubby, too, since he could give less than a crap about the environment & chemicals most of the time.
  • I'm a big fan of method.  I know not everyone is a big fan, and I'm sure there are other greener products, but they don't bother my sensitive nose/allergies like most products and smell soooo good.  I use the plain floor cleaner and love it.

  • I used to use their free & clear laundry detergent.  It was for a long time the only thing I could find for DH's eczema.  But then Target stopped carrying it, and it's $18 a bottle online, so I have found other things I like that work.

There also used to be a cucumber bathroom spray cleaner that still is the best thing I've ever found for glass shower doors.  But alas, I found it only once.  It's like the mythical unicorn...

  • I use them, have for years. We started using their stuff because at the time they were the only cruelty-free brand we could buy at a regular store. Seventh Generation wasn't sold anywhere when Method first came on the market. We've never had issues with any of their stuff so we keep using it - hand soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, spray cleaner, air fresheners.?

I consider them a green product line. Maybe not as much as some companies, but as I said, I use them more for the cruelty-free aspect than anything else. I know Seventh Gen. doesn't test on animals either, but I know how Method works so I stick with it. ?
