So... how was your anniversary evening?  How was Kelli's cake?

Aw, thanks for asking!  It was great and we had a wonderful time at dinner and Willows Lodge.  The cake was awesome!  I may have even had some for breakfast this morning.   Of course, I rationalize this by the fact that I have to go away for a few days for work and I wouldn't want DH to eat my fair share of the cake while I am gone!

Very cool!  I'm glad you had a good time.  I don't blame you at all about the cake.  We took our top tier to the hotel with us, the night of our wedding.  We ate it as a late night snack and for breakfast, and finished it at home the next day.  Can't wait for my Kelli cake, now!

Anyway, hurray for a great anniversary!

Wait a second...will Kelli make us an anniversary cake if I call her?!?  Our 1st anniversary is on Oct. 2! 

Confession:  We ate our top tier of the wedding cake the week after the wedding.  I love cake.

Yep!  It was part of our contract, so it probably was for you as well.  We just had to go to her store front in Kirkland and pick it up.  It's a very generous size, too.

What kind are you getting?  We had the same as our top tier, lemon cake with blackberry filling.  So delicious!

Same here!  We're picking ours up just before we leave town for our trip to Seaside.

We're switching it up b/c we ate a lot of leftover cake in the flavor of our top tier (coconut cake/strawberry mousse) b/c it was also the flavor of the bottom tier.  This time we're getting almond cake with seedless raspberry filling.  :-)

I should confess that this will be our THIRD Kelli cake... and not our last!  I got a surprise cake for my DH (then FI), to mark our 6-mo engagement.  It was a great excuse for a yummy carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream filling.
