Who is/was your OB/GYN and where did you deliver in CFL?

DH and I are going to start TTC soon and I need to find a good doctor preferably in the Lake Mary or Winter Park area.  I really would like to deliver at Winnie Palmer because it is like a resort, but any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Dr. Snow with Delaney OBGYN and all the doctors at the practice are great.  Their office is on Gore street close to Florida Hospital downtown.  Phone is 407-316-8550.

We used Physicians Associates.  Dr. Lamberty.  and delivered at Winnie Palmer.  I moved in the middle of my pregnancy to Orlando from Atlanta. 

Personally I don't know if I will use WPH again.  They kept taking the baby out of my room for things and not bringing her back.  The first night they forgot to bring her to eat until i called the nurse.  I also didn't feel like i was supported much during the birth.  The Dr wasn't ready to catch the baby so i tore more than i might have.  Next time around I'm planning to use a birth center and midwife.   And the menu of hospital food was very limited.  I could probably come up with a few other things i didn't like.  

But  I have liked the Breastfeeding Center of Orlando Health, the TEA for breastfeeding moms (baby under 8 weeks) and the Moms meeting moms (baby 0-6m) and Mother Baby connection (baby 6-12m).

I used Dr. Thatcher and Dr. Fritz who have a couple offices in Orlando, including one downtown. They deliver at Winnie Palmer, which I loved! I had great nurses when I was there (I was hospitalized a couple times during my pregnancy too) and I actually liked the menu and found it to be much better than the average hospital. (although almost anything is good compared to regular hospital food lol)

While I know that this is not in the Lake Mary, Winter Park area, I just wanted to say how happy we were with my OB, Dr. Swoboda of A Place For Women in Celebration.  She was so awesome and kind, and even though I gained a ridiculous amount of weight with my first, I never heard a word from her.  She has a partner Dr. Balint that is also great. When I was pregnant, I went to OBGYN Care Group and delivered at The Baby Place (Winter Park Hospital). The hospital was fantastic but I really didn't like the way my doctor treated me during L&D, so I switched to Dr. Felski, whose office is in Casselberry. He delivers at Winnie Palmer.

As an Orlando native...I must recommend Dr. William Scott!!!  His father delivered my two sisters and I and he has now delivered my niece and nephews.  I cannot go to him (b/c my husband is a MD at FL Hospital) and I am just devistated!!!  He is unbelievable!  You can search his name and check his ratings.  He is one of the few OBGYN's that has great ratings.  He used to have his own practice but he's recently joined Delaney OBGYN.  If I could go to him...believe me, I would!!!!  The number to their office is (407) 425-2505. 

Trust me, you'll never question your decision with Dr. Scott!

***One more thing...if you have any doubts, go down to Winnie Palmer and ask the nurses who they recommend.  Hands down...it will be Dr. Scott!!

I will be delivering at Florida Hospital Orlando (downtown) and their Baby Place is much improved....it is pretty nice. I go to Loch Haven OBGYN and I love all the doctors there. It is near Princeton/Orange Ave. My sister and many friends have delivered at FH...and some at Winnie Palmer. I've heard great reviews about both. More importantly you need to find a doctor that you like and are comfortable with and then see what hospital they work with and make sure its covered by your insurance. GL!

I went to womens partners in health.  It's winter park on Corrine Dr.  I had Dr. fu and Dr. White....  I love them!!! I also loved Winnie Palmer.....

I've heard Dr. Sweet is a FANTASTIC doctor!  He's with Florida Womens Center Altamonte at 407-303-5204.  His main office is in Altamonte Springs, but he also has a remote office in Lake Mary where he sees patients in that area on Mondays and Tuesdays.  I've heard he really takes the time to talk to his patients and is really down to earth.  I would have gone to him myself if I didn't already have a doctor.

I loved Winter Park OB/GYN. Dr. Dukes was my main dr but dr Breit delivered DS and was great. Dr. Dukes wasn't even on that day but came in to see how I was doing. They deliver at Winter Park Memorial, but I LOVED that hospital (very comfy/big rooms) and the nurses were fantastic!

I have to agree with PP. I went to Winter Park OB/GYN, but Dr. Breit was my OB and he delivered our DD.  I've seen all 6 of the drs there and they are all wonderful.  Winter Park Hospital has new rooms and is working on a new L & D area.  The nurses are fabulous.  I can't say enough about the docs or the hospital.

I go to Ob & Gyn specialists. They have offices in Winter Park, Oviedo and Dr Phillips area. Their dr's go all over and are all so friendly! I have been with them for a while. This is my first baby so we will see how the L&d go but they do deliver at Winnie Palmer. Which I can't wait for, I have heard from a few friends who have recently delivered there that it is great.
