I went in for my growth scan yesterday. Both babies are head down and one baby weighs 1.7 lbs and the other weighs 1.8 lbs. The u/s tech seemed a little concerned, she asked how much weight I've gained and that she would check with the dr. regarding their weights. Also my cervice measured 2.7, but she said that it's supposed to get thinner at this stage.
She came back and said the dr. isn't worried because they are both weighing almost the same.
So how much did/do your babies weigh at 26 weeks?
tia!
Re: How much did they tell you your babies weighed at 26 w?
At 26 weeks, one of my girls weighed 1 lb 12 oz. and the other girl weighed 1 lb 13 oz. By my 30 wk growth scan, they were measuring each at 3 lbs 3 oz.
HTH
The girl is measuring 1lb 11 oz and the boy is at 2 lb 1 oz. She was shocked that they were on the larger side, but then when she measured their bones, she found that they are pretty long. All I could say was I guess I'll be the shrimp of the family, DH is 6'4.
I had my scan done at 27 weeks. Baby A was 2lb1oz and B was 1lb14ozs, They considered B small but as long as she stayed in the same growth percentage rate they weren't concerned. I had a huge growth spurt between 27 and 30 weeks and both babies are now 3 pounds. I haven't gained much weight with this pregnancy but they feel that the babies are getting what they need.
My cervix at 27 weeks was 3cm so they told to start taking it easy. They wanted me to cut back my work schedule, drink lots of water and spend most of my time laying on my left side. My cervix is now 4cm and they are thrilled with that.
