So my LO has decided to not be prompt. <side eyes ticker> I was only 2 cm yesterday and Dr. stripped my membranes again. If he doesn't come by Mon., it's induction time.

The worse is I am so bored. DH made me start leave ( I love working) and now won't let me drive. I have read every mag and watched all of my tivo. I have also tried all of the self induction techniques. Ugh!

Clean your house like crazy.. I was 1 day past due when I decided to clean to be ready for induction the next day..and while cleaning my water brokE!!! Good Luck! Your LO will be here before you know it

I can't imagine!  I delivered exactly at 38 weeks, so I had the exact opposite experience.  I hope Baby G decides to come soon!

Have you tried walking & spicy foods?  Or bribing him?  Perhaps an offer he can't refuse - like all the milk in the world?

Hope you have a speedy L&D after all this waiting!

I can imagine how you feel! I was so ready to get that baby out!! Hopefully you go into labor on your own and soon!!

Thanks ladies. Everything is clean and our cleaning lady has been coming. So no help there. Definitely been walking. I just really don't want to be induced.

Oh no! Well, take comfort in knowing your LO's brain and lungs are just getting stronger and stronger in there. In the meantime, get back behind the wheel and drive yourself somewhere like Balboa Island where you can walk, walk, walk. Monday will be here soon but I bet LO will come even sooner than that!

I bakes like 10 dozen cookies... bakes 3 different cakes.... DH and his office people were scared that if the DS did not come soon they would all be 300lbs big!

Even if you have to be induced, you can help yourself along - bounce on a birthing/exercise ball, stretch (yoga if you still can), and a lot of walking to help make your body more favorable. I had to be induced due to an early water rupture and it sucked big time.

I second the yoga ball and walking to help yourself along. I was also induced ( PIH) and did not have a great experience, so do as much as you can before you get to the hospital. GL!

That has got to be rough - sometimes they just don't want to come - they're too comfy!!!

 Yea - try to do some crazy walking and other activities that may induce.

Being induced is not bad at all. I was worried too with Jack, but it was a great experience for me - I was only in labor for 12 hours while with Andrew I was almost double that and that was with no induction.

Sounds like you are trying everything already.  I hope your LO comes soon.  Who knows -- you posted this yesterday, so maybe you are at the hospital right now!

I feel your pain, sister.  DD was 10 days late and came after I was induced.  It's really not that bad!  My SIL swears by taking a 2 mile walk and having sex - worked 3 times for her!
