Pregnant after a Loss

Movement Question

Let me preface by saying I've been to the dr. and everything is fine but I'm still not totall reassured. Baby wasn't at all active yesterday...moved only slightly when I got home and not at all once I laid down for the evening (this is her most active time typically) I didn't feel her this morning so I was super tense at the US but she had a heart rate of 148 and plenty of fluid. She moved a few times which I didn't feel so her movements are no where near as dramatic. Doc thinks she might be in a different position or just not quite as active. It was awful not seeing her squirm since she's been a little wiggle worm since week 12. They told me to take note if I've gone several hours without movement and to then eat something and lay quietly to see if I can feel her-I'm working myself up and wish DH would hurry and come home from his orders. I'm about spent.

Anyone else have some days wtih decrease intensity or decreased movements?

Re: Movement Question

  • I hear you !  I just came abck from the Dr myself for regular Ob vist but, was talking to her about the same thing.  When she tried to check the HB the baby hid from the doppler too.   I just had US last week and all the fluids were good and they just don't know what i'm not feeling him.  He did move a little more last night than the past few nights.  Dr thinks i'm just not feeling it but, the baby is moving fine.  Everytime they do us he's all over the place.  It so hard not to worry but, the Dr also told me that your not going to feel the baby if you worry so much too.  Sorry your stressing but, i so know how you feel.

  • I have had days like this. Glad you know all is well in there, sorry you're feeling anxious. HUGS
  • Actually yes.  Last week I went into the docs because I had decreased movement.  Everything was fine.  I have an anterior placenta, so he was moving on the u/s but I did not feel it.  I really pay attention to his movements in the morning and at night, and as long as I count 5 with in an hour, I am happy.

  • yes- some days, I only feel movement when I am laying in bed before I fall asleep.

I hate when it seems like its been a few days since LO has moved- it is stressful.

  • Yes, I am going through this myself now.  LO has been moving constantly for the past month, but this past week, he/she has slowed down.  I still feel him/her everyday, but not like it was.  It's kind of concerning.  I don't go to the Dr till Oct. 5th, so I don't know if I should call or just wait it out!  Indifferent
