I am losing the baby. I spent 8 hours in the ER on Saturday (doc said to go to the ER if my spotting got worse since they couldn't for sure rule out ectopic). My hCG levels had increased but not enough and the ultrasound revealed the sac that was there last Monday was no longer there.

I went in yesterday for another follow up blood draw and am waiting to hear from my doctor to make sure my hCG levels are going down since they are sure I'm miscarrying. If they go up I have to go back in for another ultrasound to make sure there aren't any issues. From the discharge I've had I'm pretty sure I wont need a D&C.

This blows.

Oh honey I'm so sorry...I wish I had the words.

I lost my first baby at 11 weeks after seeing the heartbeat at 8 weeks. There's no way to describe the feeling, but I just want you to know that we're here for you, and if you need to take a break from all the baby stuff, that's okay too.

Jen I am so sad for you that you have to go through this. I too have had a miscarriage & it is horrible to go through (I miscarried the same night we found out  ). My doctor told me that it is VERY common, 1 in 4 women miscarry then go onto having healthy pregnancies afterwards.

All I can say is that my thoughts are with you & your DH at this time. Take care of yourself
