Middle of the night waking

Tell me about your middle of the night wakings with LO. What do you do to get them back to sleep. Seems like it is a very long process with DS.

He usually just falls asleep when he's full but if he doesn't, I rock him a little and that does it. On the occasions where he wakes up wide awake and not wanting to sleep, I talk to him, play with him, etc until he's tired enough to go back to sleep. Then I have to put him down drowsy but awake and he falls asleep after a few minutes.

I would pick her up, hold her close and shush her while rocking.  Sometimes I would rub her eyebrows.  I usually only took a few minutes at most.
