Christmas: Casual or dressy??

In the past we have gone super dressy for DD's xmas pictures but it's not practical for Xmas dinner so she usually ends up with 2 outfits... if we continue with the trend then we will have 4 Xmas outfits between the 2 of them.

Do you think a nice sweater dress would be ok for Xmas pics & the day of festivities?

Very cute!! I think that being they are dresses, it will be perfectly fine.  We always have our girls in dresses!  I love it!

I think I am getting that black dress for dd for Christmas Eve, and then there is a silver dress with rhinestones I love for Christmas.  It's casual dress...that's what I like.  DD haes a frou frou dress, but also doesn't like pants.

I am not a fan of super dressy, 'foo foo' dresses for little girls.  I think both of those options are nice because they'll work for Christmas, but they can also be worn for every day.  Very cute!

I personally like casual for Christmas. I am thinking of getting this dress from Old Navy with a long sleeved white T and white tights with some boots and a red bow.

Casual is fine, IMO. I think that last year my kids stayed in their pajamas all day.
