TTC after 35

Freaking out-Help

So my 18dpo beta is up to 302, which means it tripled in 48 hrs. Additionally my d 12 progesterone was 24.6 (on progesterone for 10 days prior) and now it is 64 after not taking my progesterone for the 3 days prior to this lab draw. I cannot reconcile that this is viable due to the massive bleeding (bright red, super heavy, huge clots) I had d 14-17. I really feel that there is no hope. I go back for a beta on thursday and an u/s next wed. They will u/s me before next wed if I start to have acute pain....I'm going to try and hold out (otherwise I'll lie to them). This is my 8th time having positive betas, so I know this is not normal. Any thoughts on ectopic (do you even have a huge period with it) or other causes of bleeding? personal experiences? They said it was too early for the hemmorage.

Re: Freaking out-Help

  • MAH,

I have no experience with this. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you are going through this.

    ((((hugs)))

  • I'm no help either MAH. I hope that it is viable. I'm sorry you have to wait until next week for an u/s. The waiting is just torture.  ((hugs))

  • Sometimes people *think* they have a period the first few months because they bleed kinda like one.  I am hoping this is what happened for you.  I think it sounds like everything is fine with your beta results.  Try and relax.  I know that's hard though.

  • I'm sorry you're going through this.  I certainly hope this is a viable pg and it's just your body thinking it should be having AF.

  • So sorry that you are dealing with all of this. I hope that it is a viable pg and that next week goes incredibly well for you.
  • Did you have more than one follicle?  Could there have been twins and one miscarried and the other is sticking?  I feel like I read something about that in TCOYF.  Good luck!

  • I am SO sorry you are going through this. ?Please don't give up yet that this is viable. ?Miracles do happen, and it could just be going on right now.

Thoughts, prayers and good wishes are being sent your way.

    Please keep us posted.?

  • I wondered that too, but a d12po beta of 17 seems kind of low for that (? I think?). I did have +4 mature follies, so it's possible. But I had very heavy bleeding and severe cramps (actually worse than my previous 5 m/c's or a normal period) so I have no idea. The only other thought I've had (and this is REACHING), DH and I did the deed at d10. maybe I mc from the IUI and then something else stuck.....but that seems very farfetched since I bled d14-17. At this point I can't decide if patience is a virtue or lying to get your way (or u/s) is the best path. Thanks for the input. You ladies are the best!!!!!
