I took the girls to church today and out to breakfast afterwards.  The table next to us the baby had a pacifier.  The kiddo preceded to drop it on the floor.  No biggie right?  I would usually go wash the thing off, or plug in the spare.  No...the mom picks it up and plops it right back in the kids mouth.  I couldn't help but think whos shoes have been on that floor and what they have walked through..

ewww!!!  i saw something similar at the zoo.  a little girl was playing with her straw, dropped it and put it back in her drink.  she kept doing it over and over and mom even helped pick it up and put it back in her cup.  dh and i were staring at them in disgust

That is disgusting. Would she drop her fork on that floor and then stick it in her mouth? I think not.

Yeah that's gross. I know a few people who would have done the same. Honestly your kid's gonna stick worse in their mouth at some point, but I'd like to avoid everything I'm able to

sorry- lurking here...

but to add to your grossness- I work in an emergency room- people do that in hospitals too.  I have actually grabbed the paci out of the parent's hands just prior to reinsertion to babe's mouth with instructions to either wash it in hot water, or give them another one.  I mean, really?  There are no 5 second rules in the hospital...
