So in the past 3 months we have had 2 friends name their baby girls Logan. I didn't ever think of it as a girl's name. Is it becoming more common? I think it will still take a little time to get used to.
In the realm of boy names for girls, NOTHING surprises me anymore. I don't even think BUTCH or GUY would surprise me these days. But especially a name that ends in the an/en/on/in--they all seem to be fair game.

Logan is so not a girls name. I do not dig the boys-for-girls trend.
This. If I would have done my baby name research before DS#1 was born, we probably wouldn't have gone with Logan since it is slowly moving to the girl side I mean I still LOVE the name, but I just really don't want him to grow up with girls in his class who have the same name.
Actually, I just looked and it's been a top 1000 name for a girl for quite a while (relatively), and it actually peaked in the late '90s. I just searched the last 20 years but it could have been in the top 1000 longer than that.

My son is Cameron and I can't believe how many girls have the name. It's hard to explain to your 3yr old why a girl has the same name.
Re: Logan for a girl?
Agreed!
A college intern who worked at my job last year was named this, but she was the first girl I met with this name and is still the only one.
Yeah, I thought so too. They don't know each other though.
Same here, but I have seen it a few times very recently.

It's definitely WAY more popular for boys.
I just think of a character on bold and the beautiful...her nickname is logan so i guess i can see it for a girl..but i like unisex names in general
~Declare it..Claim it..It will be!!~
