DD won't nap but is tired...wth?

For the last few days DD has been a PITA to get down for a nap, where she used to fall asleep easily. It's been bad, but today has been a total nightmare!! She's been crying off and on all day, taken maybe an hour long nap total and is obviously tired but still does not fall asleep.

 What in the world is going on? We've tried rocking, moby, singing, bouncing, walking....NOTHING is working. We're running out of ideas (and sanity). HELP!!!

we are going through that right now with DD. its a process. i have found that nothing works. they will sleep when they want to...i have already been upstairs 4 times in the last 30 min with her screaming from rolling over.
