Someone please reassure me that I'm not going to spend the next 7 months miserable......so far this pregnancy has been hellish. I can't do this for the rest of the time!!!

Geez -- your doc is just not open to much then because my doc mentioned many things I could do! First of all, Zofran never worked for me. I had much better luck on Phenegran though it made me sleepy. There's also Reglan which my doctor said was one of the last one's she would try just because of the side effects. I actually found the best combo to be the b6 + Unisom. This is the same mix found in Diclectin (sp?) that the previous poster mentioned. Essentially, I took 1/2 a Unisom in the morning with 50 mg of B6. Took another 50 mg of B6 at lunchtime (no unisom) and at bedtime took a whole unisom and another 50 mg of B6. Everything I read indicated this this cocktail of meds was safe for pregnancy. I confirmed with my doctor and she concurred that it was fine.
Other non-medicinal things that worked for me was jolly ranchers (especially green apple), lemonheads, mint gum, and fountain cokes! I also ate a banana every morning before getting out of bed and that seemed to help too! I'm not saying that all of these things made me feel great but the combination of things definently took the edge off.
8-12 weeks were the hardest for me. It does get better!!!!
Ask about the zofran pump. Zofran pills did nothing for me. I spent a lovely week in the hospital on IV zofran/phenergan. It kinda sucked, but I felt pretty good. The IV form helps so much more. I went home with a zofran pump, and life was much better after that. I was suicidal before being admitted to the hospital. Don't get to that point.
The company that I had my pump through was Matria. Insurance didn't cover it, and it was $150/day or something, but they waived the daily copays with a one time payment of $500. It was definitely worth it. It was crazy--insurance would cover my hospital stay through the end of pregnancy (I was admitted at 12 weeks), but not my pump, even with a note from the doctor. I was also on phenergan through the rest of my pregnancy. I was tired, but it was better than being that sick.
