Ooh, there's so many places you could go. If you're trying to stay fairly close you could go to a B&B on the coast - maybe to Moss Beach & Half Moon Bay, or stay at some cool hotel in SF. If you are thinking of going further you could visit Mendocino - lots of great places to stay up there (I'm partial to Inn at Schoolhouse creek & Lodging & Llamas)
I was also going to suggest a B&B weekend get-away. Pre-babies we use to go to the Pelican Inn and explore around Muir woods. If you have never been to the Pelican Inn, it looks like it was lost in time. No tvs, no radios, no clocks. Just roaring fires and good food.
DH and I were just day dreaming about leaving the kids with my mom and escaping to San Diego for a quick weekend get-away.
