Random: Do you wear a watch?

I was thinking of asking for a watch for my birthday, but I guess I really don't need it because I have a clock on the cell phone.

Maybe I should just ask for a bracelet.

Re: Random: Do you wear a watch?

  • I wear (wore) one every day - always.  I only take it off when I shower.  I even wear it to bed.  Mine needs a new battery though...so I'm not wearing one now and I hate it because I am always looking at my arm for the time.  It is so much faster than looking at the cell phone!
  • I wear my watch every day.  I don't want to have to pull out my cell to check the time.  I used to have an adorable one (I think I picked it up at Target) that looked like a bracelet with a watch face - I got complimented on it all the time. :)

  • I haven't worn a watch in about ten years.  I would want a bracelet :)

  • I don't even own a watch anymore.  I never wore it.  I hate the feeling of something constraining my wrist.  I'll go back and blame my childhood where I was sick all the time and in the hospital and had hospital bracelets on.  That sounds better than "loon who can't stand her wrists being touched".
  • I lost it when I had DD2 - not sure if it's in the house or lost at the hospital.  Then I got laid off when she was 2 weeks old so I really have no need for one at this point.  The girls and I operate on our own time frame.

  • I do.  A platinum Rolex yacht master.  It's a little slice of heaven that I got when I was 25 after selling my first apartment building on the south side of Chicago.

I earned this baby and it's never coming off.

That said if you're not a watch girl go with the bracelet.  Jewelry in general is always a good idea. Wink

  • Always, the only time it comes off is for showers and bedtime.

    This!!

  • I quit wearing a watch when I quit teaching. I use the clock on my cell.

  • Never.  I prefer not to know what time it is!

I used to wear one when I worked outside of the home.  Now I just look at the clock on my cell, computer, microwave, bedside table, etc.

  • I used to wear one all the time, but since I became pregnant with P I took it off and never put it back on. I only wear bracelets when we go out somewhere special (and then even every time). The only jewelry that I always wear is a necklace that dh got me with Preston's birthstone in it and my wedding/engagment rings. I wear these even in the shower.
  • A great watch kills two birds with one stone!  It can be as pretty or prettier than a bracelet AND it's functional!  I am a watch-lover, myself.  Like I said, you just have to find a great one that fulfills both needs.  I have a watch that I get SO many compliments on because it's got a band like a bracelet & it's really unique/ pretty.  People don't even realize it's a watch until I point it out.
