this is the room right before...
I set up a "candy train" as the centerpiece
the massive quantities of food we had
My boy and his bawooooon. He was happy and smiley the whole day but didn't smile for any pictures!
The cake, the marvelous cake. I was SO impressed with it.
He's like, "When do I get my cake?!" But that didn't stop him from making us sing happy birthday to him twice.
BTW, anyone know how ot get rid of the flash behind DH's head? We LOVE this pic but can't do much with it with that flash.
Re: Can I AW PAC's party for a sec? PIPs
Great picutes looks like a fun time with LOTS of food, did you make it all?
we made some of the food, but most was made at DH's job. I made most of the candy though--chocolate lollipops in various colors, chocolate-covered pretzels, the boxes, etc. We ordered pizza for the kids.
The little bags on the table have train whistles, little engineer hats, bandannas and little wood trains in they they could decorate themselves. They also got goody boxes upon leaving.
The museum also did a little craft with the kids re: decorating their own picture frames. We're sending pics of the kids from the party with their thank you cards.
Oh also, we figured instead of juice boxes, we'd get take and toss cups, decorate them with trains and sticker each kid's name on it in an effort to be "green" and solve the issues of kids spilling stuff.
It was fun and cute, but holycrap, very rushed.

AndiG -- no, I didn't make the cake. DH is a chef and his pastry chef did that and the cupcakes.
I think they sell mickey mouse 3-D molds though at michaels or ac moore, i don't think it would be that hard?

Awesome party! Dang, I wish I would have been invited for the food alone! DS's 2nd birthday was train themed...Thomas no less. And the kid wanted the same theme for his 3rd bday. What is it with little boys and trains????
Cute pics!
how adorable! your family is so precious!
