Graco travel system ?

We just got the quattro something or other in deco.  I can't figure out how to attach the infant seat to the stroller.  I have the part snapped in to the cupholder part, but what about the part closest to the parent.  There are these red tabs that I'm confused about.

TIA

Re: Graco travel system ?

  • Pull on the red tabs so that the elastic goes in the slots on the sides of the carseat.

  • um...?  I must be slow today.  These tabs only go down (towards where a kid would recline).
  • I just got the same travel system and the red thingys flip down towards the car seat, they kind of pinch the fabric a bit, but they eventually snap the car seat in.

  • I have this exact same travel system and just like person before me said, the red tabs push toward where the baby is reclined but eventually they snap in....kind of into a dip in the fabric, if you were to move the fabric back, I think there are notches and they lock into those.
  • Exactly, the little red tabs essentially flip in towards the car seat to hold the foot portion of the carseat more stable. So you just flip them inwards toward the carseat/stroller, and if I can remember right they may make a little 'clicking' sound when they're down all the way?? Then to remove the carseat you just flip them up and unhook the head portion of the carseat.

Some of the other models have the red tabs on an elastic band (ours does) and in this case you just slide the elastic band through the slat in that same area and secure the tabs. They both serve the same function, to keep the lower part of the carseat more stable.
