Bubble Bath after M/C?

I started my natural m/c on Saturday and today I have very little brown spotting.. when can I take a bubble bath? This would make me feel so much better.

My doctor's office never told me anything, it seemed they didnt really care..

So what can and cannot do while m/c?

I was told that I'm not supposed to have a "bath" until after I completely stop bleeding b/c it would increase my chance of infection, as the cervix is open.

What I did instead was put my feet in a hot tub of water, not the same thing, but it did help me relax a bit.

Also, you're not to use tampons while bleeding during a m/c due to the same risk of infection.

I'm fairly sure those were the only limits I was told. I was only half way paying attention.

or maybe I can sit in the tub without filling it up and use my rainbath...

I need it so bad...that was my way of destressing...

Now can u bath after u stop bleeding? How do I know my cervix closed again?

This is interesting... after I delivered (told I was around 8cm) my nurse said I could have a bath if I wanted... I have had a couple baths while I was still diated. I wonder if I put myself at risk and she didn't know what she was talking about...

Yes you can take a bath, but according to my doc, ALL bleeding has to stop, no spotting, no nothing. I'm not sure how long that'll be.

My bleeding did stop but now I notice about 1-2 spots during the day so maybe I will give it another day or two..

I'm not sure about a natural m/c, but with my d&c the doc said no sex, tampons, or tub baths for one week

Other posters have answered, but FWIW, my doc said no sex, tampons, or bubble baths for 2 weeks.  The last thing you would want right now is an infection.  However, the nurse specifically said no bubble baths, but a warm bath should be okay.  Also, you can always call your ob's just to see what they prefer.  Hope you find some way to realx and de-stress.

My doc said I could take a tub bath after my d&c.  It sounds very relaxing, but I am I going to pass.  I just don't want anything to cause an infection in there.

Call your doc and see what they suggest.  Good luck.
