What can I expect? How long in betwen cycles? I had 9 follies 6 at 10mm, 1 at 16mm and one at 23mm. They cancelled because of the dominant follie and said they like to have at least 4 follies before they will do ER. Unfortunately we can't do IUI because of male factor. She said they will give me a new protocol and that I have a great chance....but I'm really down.

I'm so sorry. I did have my cycle cancelled but for the opposite  reason. I over stimmed. I even started coasting going without meds to try and get my E2 down. It rose to 7200 before coming down. I went into the office for 8 days straight for bloodwork hoping everyday it would come down. And then when it finally did we were told we should cancel. It was heart breaking.

They will probably start you right away again after you get a period. I don't know if you did long lupron but if you did they'll probably change you to some a protocol where you don't do lupron so you can probably start stimming pretty quickly. I would bet it will be 3 or 4 weeks for you. I would check with them if they close their lab at all coming up because the big RE conference comes up in November and a lot of labs close around that time. Try to make sure you can get in again before that if so,

Good luck and I'm sorry. Let yourself just mourn the lost cycle. That's what I had to do. I was very sad and depressed for a few weeks until I spoke with my RE again. It was so hard to see all of the ladies I started IVF with going through with retreival and transfer.

My first cycle was cancelled due to poor response. I was allowed to try again the very next cycle but I had a cyst so couldn't. Otherwise i would only have had to wait one month. Good luck to you.

Im so sorry.  My first IVF was almost cancelled.  I had only 4 eggs retrieved and only one was mature.   We are also MFI so we couldnt be converted to IUI.   BUT the good news is you probably really will do better on a different protocol.  I did the micro-dose Lupron the second time and responded so much better. 
Good luck. 
Oh - and you should be able to start again right away.  That does depend upon your REs opinion but there is no medical reason why you need to wait a cycle or two.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I was so very depressed after my cancelled IVF cycle. I actually didn't produce any mature follies (I'm DOR). Like pp I couldn't stim the next cycle because of a cyst, but would have been able to otherwise ?- however in a weird twist of fate I ended up doing natural IVF with my own egg and got a BFP. It's such a rollercoaster, but I went from the depths of despair to total happiness in the span of a few weeks. Things will get better, and a new protocol can definitely help you. GL and ((HUGS)).

I'm so sorry, it sucks having a cancelled cycle.  I went through it (and we have MFI too) but mine was cancelled because they triggered me early, and only 3 of my 13 eggs were even close to being mature, and two of them fertilized but none of them made it past 3 cells.  It was really sad, but my RE had me on the very next cycle and just started lupron on wednesday.  I hope you get your second chance soon!

I guess you could say my IVF cycle was canceled.  I went through the ER, but we had fertilization issues and never made it to ET.  My RE told me I could do another IVF cycle with the next group.  My ER was on 08/20 and I could have started stims for IVF#2 around late September when the next group started.

I'm sorry your cycle got canceled, but it's good news that your RE feels like a different protocol will work.  Hang in there!
