Hard time matching furniture

My aunt gave me a honey colored crib from Pottery Barn that was my cousin's. I've been looking at different websites trying to find furniture that matches. I would go to Pottery Barn, but that's out of our price range. Where would I be able to find a honey colored dresser and bookshelf?

You might could try Target, if you havent already. Also, go to one of those unfinished furniture places and find what you like and have it stained to match.

I don't have any advice other than good luck!  I bought a bed one time from a matress store and didn't think I was going to have room for a dresser so I didn't care that it didn't offer one with the set.  Well I ended up having room and the hardest time finding something to match the espresso colored bed.  Every brands colors are a little bit different.  However, I did end up finding something I liked close enough and you can't even tell.  Sometimes it is easier not trying so hard to match.  If its not going to be right next to each other it wouldn't look bad if they were different finishes.  How about getting a white dresser?  It would probably look great with honey.  I think I read in some decorating magazine you can have up to 4 different types of wood in a room.

I would also keep your eye on your local Craigslist.  You can get great deals on there.

It might just be easier to paint the crib white or stain it a darker cherry color (or get your DH to do it!) and then pick out matching furniture.

I thought about staining it, but I would have to get DH to do. I actually brought this up to him and he didn't look thrilled. He's a man of few word, so I know that means 95% no. I'll work on the 5% I guess
