I posted a while ago with a naming question, and now that we are closer to deciding, we wanted to post again.
Not everyone here will like the names we pick, and I respect that- just no flaming-k? We are ok with being different without being uneek.
So- we like
Avalyn (we would call her Ava- full name is due to familial ties)
MN for Avalyn: Paige, Rose, Claire, Leigh, Marie, Michelle, others?
Evangeline ( DH likes this one- I like it, but we are pure midwest whitebread, and it strikes me as more of a pretty Hispanic name or similar ethicity....) nn not fully determined
MN- unsure
Genevieve- (we just remembered that we loved this when picking DDs name)- nn not fully determined.
MN- not sure- would like suggestions
So- some more suggestions would be great- we both feel that there is a name out there that we are forgetting for use as a middle name...we need inspiration!
Re: ok- we are undecided...
I'm not a huge fan of Avalyn- Evangeline and Genevieve are both so unique and adorable. I've never heard of Evangeline being Hispanic at all- I think you're safe to use it on a white bread midwest baby
Evangeline Lilly
Evangeline Grace
Evangeline Faith
Evangeline Camille
Evangeline Olivia/Olive
Evangeline Sophia
Evangeline Cate
Evangeline Ruth
Evangeline Pearl
For Evangeline, the nn's Eva or Evie could be super cute.
Genevieve Elise
Genevieve Rose
Genevieve Fleur
Genevieve Lucille
Genevieve Louise
Genevieve Elaine
Genevieve Belle
Genevieve Claire
Genevieve Adele
One of my friends had an aunt named Geneveive and they called her Evie.
i don't like avalyn, but i do like ava!
i also like evangeline - evangeline simone or evangeline rose
Ava is just too popular I would stay away from anything even close (just my style) I love Evangeline! Genvieve is okay!
They would both need short 1 sylable middles name IMO because their first name is so long.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Don't like Avalyn, sounds like you were going for Avalon and put a random y in it.
I LOVE Evangeline and Genevieve and agree that a one-syllable mn would be best with these names.

Genevieve seems to be gaining popularity but it was my grandmother's name so I think of it as kind of old lady. And very French.
Evangeline is ok to me, seems French as well. I like the nn Eva though.
I kind of like Avalyn actually.
For any of these names I like Paige as the mn. The others are way too common.
First, I see that your DD is Sophia Joy-MINE TOO!
Second, my vote goes for Evangeline.
Genevieve is my grandma's name and so it's high on my list. For nicknames, I like Eve and Neve (like Neve Campbell). Gen/Genny is common as a nn, too, but SIL's name is Jen, so we wouldn't use that as a nn.
I like Genevieve Brooke & Genevieve Mia.
Another one high on my list is Eden Genevieve.
I vote Genevieve Avalyn (for family reference)
or Evangeline
"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
I think Avalyn is beautiful. The only middle name that I don't think goes well with it is Leigh. I really like Paige or Rose the best.
I think Evangeline would work really well for you also. I always thought it was an English name. Paige would work well as a mn

My name is Genevieve Crystal. when I was little I was genny, genna, vievie,
I have a very long last name too and it has never really been a problem.Alot of people do not know how to say it....I have been called just about everything under the sun but I think that is part of the fun.
I get alot of people that love the name, it is really nice to hear that people like it. I always hear it was their grandmother or great aunt of someone they know.
I have only met one little girl with the same name. So it is still not that popular. And I am a child photographer so I see lots of little ones.
I mostly now go by Genevieve, Gen or Vievie.
And my cousin named her little girl Evangeline Lilly and it is beautiful as well. It is so cute to hear her say her name. We call her Evie....she is so sweet!
I agree with this. I like Evangeline. Love all the nickname possibilities too. I'm not too keen on Genevieve. Not a huge fan of "Jen".
