How old was DC turning
How many kids
Was it at your house?
The reason I am asking is because I already see this getting out of control. I have two very close friends with kids and then a group that I have known since DS was a 5 weeks old and that is already 10 kids plus 3 babies if siblings are invited. And DS started school this year so I am not sure if I will be inviting kids from school - the birthdays in his class are June through December so some have already had their birthday so there is less pressure but I am starting to become friendly with one of the parents and DS is also starting to talk about the kids by name at home. I am not looking for advice or anything but just stating how it can become insane - and add into it that DS and DD share a birthday (DS is turning 3 and DD is turning 1) - it's INSANE. Just wondering what others do.
Re: How many kids did you invite to birthday party
I use a good rule of thumb - one kid for every year. So for DS' 5th B-Day we had about 5 kids invited to Chuck E Cheese.
1st B-Days don't count, those are more of a party for the adults.
The place we're having his party at allows 15 kids total, so we're inviting around 15 kids. That includes my neices and nephews and playgroup friends. Younger siblings will be invited, but are not included in the total number. If we were having it at our house, we wouldn't be inviting that many people. I figure that since we're paying for all 15 kids whether they're there or not we should invite them.
