Well, I found out around lunchtime that Meghan and my aunt were driving back home from the doctor. She has to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours and my aunt will have to mail it back in. If anything major happens they have to get her to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital immediately (it's in Nashville, about 40 minutes away). My aunt also has to keep a log of how many times her heart speeds up like this as well. They really think that it is stress causing her heart to have the irregularity - she worries about everything. Since my grandfather passed away 2 years ago, she's worried about my grandma being home by herself. My mom and aunt work together and my mom is not always the kindest to my aunt - this also worries her. So I think all the stress of the adults' lives are really taking a toll on her. The doctor talked to her by herself about stress and being upset about things, and I think that's sort of the conclusion. She will have to go back for appointments, and the heart monitor will give them more insight also. I appreciate your vibes, thoughts and prayers as would my family. They are all doing well and handling all of this like troopers.

My little cousin had something similar & I cannot remember the scientific name for it, but in a sense it is/was something along the lines of "racing heart." That link provides a lot of the information on what my cousin had. She just recently (at the age of like 21) had a minor heart surgery to fix whatever her exact issue was.
I hope that the heart monitor she is wearing is able to help them find out exactly what the problem is & the solution to it. Keep us posted Tara!
