Weird belly pains--anyone have this?

For the past two days, I have had what seems like a permanent side stitch near my right ribcage and on the side of my belly. I've also been getting little pains across the top of my belly all day, and some on the bottom that feel like round ligament pain. But there's not tightening so I don't THINK these are contractions, Braxton-Hicks or otherwise.

Anyone else have this or know what it is? Maybe it's just more stretching. It doesn't feel bad enough to call the doc, but I'm curious what's happening. Feels almost like a pulled muscle on my right side.

I am having major pains right now too ..mine are in my lower belly on the left but sometimes i get the higher ones.  I think it is just the baby getting bigger and everything stretching

 

I usually feel better if I lie down and drink water for awhile..

I'm having some major belly pains tonight. I just looked some stuff up and found that the separation of the abdominal muscles can cause some discomfort. Also, having that sore spot or almost "bruised" feeling can be that the baby has nuzzled up and pressed up against one spot in your uterus making it tender. I'm having pains high and low, just like you described but no tightening. Just growing pains, which I'm taking as a good thing...just super duper annoying.

I've had the same pain on and off for days. I describe it the same way a "stitch". Asked MD about it, he said "I don't know, but you always see pregnant women holding their side right there." Ha, I guess so! We chalked it up to stretching.?

Sorry to hear you guys are having the same pains, too, but this is reassuring. The pains are is EXACTLY where he jabs his little feet and hands, come to think of it, so I wouldn't be surprised to be tender/bruised there. Thanks for the responses!

I get a really bad pain on my right side near the top of my ribs and my Dr says thats where the liver is now, so if LO gets a foot or leg up there its gonna really hurt.

Sounds like stretching pains.. I've noticed that on two occasions I was standing for about 2 hours both times I got really bad pains in a circle aroudn my belly button... felt like a knife or like it was on fire.  It almost looks like a bruise around my belly button.  Once I sat down and drank something it went away.. I also had a major ligament pain in my car b/c I sneezed really hard when I was putting on my seatbelt.. it hurt so bad.  Very scary, but I think it is just stretching.. as my doctor tells me....

I also have right pain just under my ribs and my doctor said the exact same thing.  She said not to worry and that a lot of pg women complain of pain on their right sides.  I think it is from the liver being squished.   It realIy sucks.  I also have a burning sensation across my ribs in the middle that really sucks- like my skin is tender to the touch!
