I just returned from the mall with a few unnecessary items as usual. Two came from a brand new store which had it's grand opening today and didn't even have a sign up yet. I think I was her first customer and I felt obligated to buy since she spent 20 minutes showing me around. Anyone want an orange swimsuit cover-up size small? I guess I'm going to have to exchange it for my actual size. lol.
Re: Do you buy things out of guilt??
Oh, yes! Nordstrom gets a lot of my money this way. After someone has spent 30+ minutes bringing me 50 pairs of jeans or bras (including helping me adjust them), etc., how can I NOT buy something? I have no backbone.
I'll never go to another timeshare presentation again, no matter how interested I might be in actually purchasing one. God forbid I want some time to think about/research dropping $30K on something. You'd think we killed his dog or something.
Yes, this is why I ended up with 3 pairs of designer jeans from Nordstrom's about a year ago. I never spend that much at once, but I felt so guilty b/c they brought me like eleventy billion pairs.
I did end up taking one pair back b/c I got home and felt like an idiot. Then I felt like a douche when I returned them.
