Vibes needed badly

I got a call from my grandma this morning that my aunt and uncle had to take my adorable eight year old cousin (and flower girl) a few hours away to get her in to see a cardiologist. My aunt had to pick her up from school yesterday to go see the regular family doctor because she was weak and barely made it to sit in her desk and her heart was beating so fast the teacher could see her shirt moving. It happened three times while they were in with the doctor, and her heart was beating almost 96 beats per minute at times then she would have 24 heartbeats in 10 seconds. Scary, and it happened throughout the night. They told them getting her an appointment with a cardiologist could take weeks, but then they got her in today. It breaks my heart because she is our family's pride and joy. My grandpa was her best friend, and he died two years ago from cancer and a brain tumor. She asked my aunt yesterday at the doctor, "Am I going to be like Pa?" so the poor kid thinks she is going to die. I've cried all morning, and so has my grandma. Rough day, and they should be finding something out soon we hope. Their appointment was at 9 a.m. so I hope to know something when I come back home from work today so I can update you guys then. Any thoughts, prayers, and vibes you could send Meghan's way would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that! I am sure she will be just fine though.

I doubt it will help any, but I have a similar thing to that and have gotten in off and on for years. My dad has it as well, but a lot worse than I do. What I have is called Tachycardia so if its anything like that, it is easily taken care of and kept under control.

I hope she's ok! My sister and dad both had a similar situation happen to them. They both have arrhythmia and the doctors were able to fix them with medication. :Vibes: everything works out!
