Random question - anyone know how to make clothes?

I am trying to learn and just missed the sewing 101 class at Joann Fabrics. If you know how to make clothes, how did you learn? My mom has a sewing machine she is going to give me.

My mom taught me to sew when I was really young - around 10 years old.  My parents bought me a used sewing machine for Christmas b/c I kept hogging my mom's.  My Cabbage Patch Kid had the best wardrobe.

I have a new sewing machine these days but haven't had time to really get into sewing much clothing.  I did do a ton of curtains before the girls were born.

At Joann's, there should be patterns that you can use to make something specific. The easier ones are the "for dummies" patterns. There are also ones that specifically say that they take "x amount of hours" to finish. I sew and my mom and I sew. If you have any questions or need anything, pm me!
