Twin mama suggestions...

Hi... I am 30 weeks pregnant with twin girls and just had my shower.  I got 2 jumperoos and 2 exersaucers among a million other things.  My question is will i need/should I keep 2 jumperoos and 2 exersaucers?  or should i have one of each and have them take "turns" ?  What worked for you?  I am happy that I have this option, just want to know what worked best for others and get some opinions.  Thanks.

Re: Twin mama suggestions...

  • I had one of each and just had them take turns.  Mostly it was a space issue, I really didn't have room for 4 of them.  I did have 2 swings though and used them A LOT!

  • i haven't started using the jumperoo/exersaucers yet- but i can't imagine having all of them set up in the same house. Babies only spend a short time in them- you can rotate them around and they can share. If you have family that lives nearby that the babies will visit often- i'd bring the others over there to use.

unless you have a huge house- you won't even have room to set them all up- they are HUGE :)

  • We had three exasaucers, but all three where different. They never got bored I would just switch them around. Our kids were not really fans of the jumperoos, so we never really even used the one we had.
  • You should be more than fine with one of each and just rotate them when they get bored.

Ditto togagirl -- I used 2 swings a LOT.  I also used two bouncies and two boppies.

  • i would keep one of each, since they're so similar.

  • We had two exersaucers, but my girls werent a huge fan anyway, so it was a waste.  We had two jumparoos because my girls were obsessed with them.  Even though they were only allowed limited time in them, we got our money's worth.

  • We have two jumperoos, no exersaucer. They love the jumperoos but they've also used the exersaucer in the church nursery and love that, too. If I were you, I'd probably keep one of each.

  • We have 2 of everything but we do have 2 different ones so they feel like it is something different each time.
  • We use our two exersaucers all of the time - our boys love them. Our boys hated the swings and boppys never worked for us.

So my advice would be to keep them all and don't open them (might sound crazy) but you never really know what you are going to need. We wasted a lot of money on two of everything. Now we buy one, try it and if they like it go buy another after.
