Ok pre-pregnancy BP was always perfect---usually below 120 and between 70 and 80. During pregnancy I had always stayed pretty close to my "normal" levels. Last appt. 2 weeks ago it was 131/70 and then today it was 136/84. Nurse seemed very concerned about pre-eclamsia but the doctor said I was still within the normal ranges so she wasn't too worried now and we would just monitor it and see if it continues to rise. Yikes!
In other news, got the Rh- shot today and that was not too bad actually. Also, do not have to take the 3hour glucose test! Hooray! Plus I got an ultrasound today and got to see my pretty baby girl. She is doing great and measuring a little over 1 week ahead and weighing in at 4 lbs 7 oz!
Re: Doc appt update: My BP is starting to concern me...
I'd be a little freaked about my BP, too, if it suddenly changed like that. But if your doctor isn't too concerned, that's good. All you can do anyway is monitor it, and then act later if you need to.
Yippee on seeing your little girl! Wow, she's sure getting big!

We will always love you, our little angel.
It's not just pre-e. I was induced because of my BP. I had PIH. 140/90 is considered to be PIH.
Glad everything looks good. Just keep an eye on that BP.
::hugs:: I hope your BP stays down. Try to monitor it at home, and make sure your doctor takes you seriously if you start having any other symptoms.
It is "normal" for BP to slightly rise during pregnancy, you have a great blood volume than usual and your body is working harder to supply oxygenated blood to the placenta/baby. Just keep an eye on it and let your OB know if you develop any other strange symptoms.
FWIW, I usually run about 100/60, during pregnancy it slowly crept up a few numbers each appt, by the end I was running about 135/85 and it immediately returned to normal by my 2 wk PP appt. My OB said he would start to be concerned if it reached 140 on the top or 90 on the bottom. I sat at 135ish/85ish for about the last 4-6 weeks.
Your BP is going to go up during pregnancy because you have doubled your blood volume. So keep that in mind when comparing your prepregnancy BP's to your prenatal BP's.
Also, if your doctor isn't concerned, that more than likely means you don't have any protein in your urine or other s/s of pre-e. Don't stress yourself out, that's not healthy for your baby either. You doctor will let you know if something is an issue.
