So I go shopping this morning, really early. I don't have to work until 10 AM this week because of the house thing, so anywho..TJ is eating his cheese in the cart lol and I'm leaning over the meat section looking for chicken when I hear "Sammy-girl?" Mind you, only one person has EVER called me that. I turn around and I was like "yeah" and who do I see....TJ's dad. Yep- the spermdonor. I haven't seen him in FOUR (4) years. Holy Sh!t.
He looks like hell. He looked at TJ for like 30 seconds and I was like ok, I gotta go, I'm going to be late for work. And he turned around and walked away. He saw his child for the FIRST time ever and he walked away like I was just an old friend. F_cking Assshole.
Of course TJ asked who it was since he may as well be his twin, and I had to tell him a worker at the store to which he was satisfied. I'm still shaking, it was so wierd.
Re: Awkard Grocery Store Run-in
Wow, really weird. Do you expect he'll try to contact you now? Or he'll just still be unphased by the whole thing and remain gone.
I remember a similar 'run-in' years ago when my BM called me. Clearly out of the blue, hadn't heard from her in years and all of sudden she called. I was so shocked I actually immediately hung up the phone because I didn't know what to do! She called back a few minutes later and I did chat with her a little bit then. I decided I wanted to at least hear why she was calling. I told her flat out that I had hung up because I was so shocked. What do you expect a person to do! Lame of all lame she was calling to wish me a happy birthday (a week late). To top it off she was wishing me a happy 21st. Um, ya I was only turning 20, thanks. I not sure what she thought was going to happen, that I'd be turning 21 and would join her at the bar now?
He didn't seem phased at all. Like I was an old friend that had a baby since the last time he'd seen me. He didn't even seem like he cared. GAH he's the biggest piece of trash on the planet! ERRRRRRRRR
I'd be shaking, too!
All I can say is at least it happened when he was young enough not to understand. This happened to me when I was about 13, and I remember it - not in a good way!
