Got a neat e-mail tonight

From a friend of a friend who apparently saw Miles' blog recently and was telling his friend about him and how cute he was, etc. He has a 4-year-old son with Down syndrome, and the friend told him our blog was about the son of her friend's best friend (me) and gave him my e-mail address.

Get an e-mail tonight from him basically just saying hey, I've been in your shoes and if you need people to talk to, ask questions, etc. we're available. He also sent some pics of their little boy and he is JUST. ADORABLE. He has the same hair and coloring as Miles, so it almost gives me an idea of what he might look like in a few years.

Anyway, random. But I've gotten so many messages/stories/e-mails like this from the most unexpected places and people since Miles' birth. It's really neat, and shows the goodness in people I think. :)

Wish I could post one of the pics here but that might be kind of weird.

  • He sounds adorable, and what a nice note to receive!  :)
  • I love how the internet can connect people like that!  And all these awesome people you may have never encountered if it weren't for Miles.  Life is amazing sometimes.

  • I am so thrilled that his tests keep coming back so good- I am also totally thrilled that you guys are getting an amazing parenting experience- not the one you planned on, but an amazing and positive one...I keep saying this, because I am a broken record...but I think that Miles is going to have some serious impact on this world, and he is super lucky to have you guys as his parents to lead the way.

He's a pretty big deal, as they say.
