Feeling Guilty

My LO seems to only want to be in her swing! She naps in the swing during the day which is great. But, when I try to hold her and rock her she just fusses. I put her in her swing and she is happy as can be. I feel like she doesn't like me! Plus, I feel like she isn't getting enough interaction. We do tummy time and stuff but she LOVES her darn swing! Anyone else with a baby like this??

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. The older she gets the more interaction she will enjoy Plus, some babies simply don't like to cuddle.

I say enjoy it now - then again, I got my hands full over here so the sooner they can entertain themselves a bit, the better. LOL.

My son really prefers to sit in one of his chairs (rocker or bouncer) than on either DH or me. He'll sit next to us on the couch, but he really only likes to be held when he's being fed or not feeling well. He's just not the type to want to be close (him being a human heater doesn't help), he hates being worn as well, so we end up using the stroller all the time instead of our Moby or Bjorn. I figure we're not ignoring him and he seems happy, that's the important thing.?

Isn't it funny how the grass is always greener on the other side. I'd give anything if ds liked his swing long enough for me to accomplish something! Maybe she just likes her alone time right now, just gradually add mommy and baby time.

my DD hated the swing..then loved it..it became the only thing that worked to get her to sleep and calm down...now she could careless for it. I think the things they like come and go. (she was the same age as your little one when she favored it) Trust me you will miss that swing when you want to fold laundry or make dinner or try to do anything without a little one attached to your hip:) I promise you in no time your baby will favor you over the swing:))
