It smells terrible. I always just used it because once it dried it didn't smell anymore. I'll be interested to see other's replies because I never researched it, I just always bought stinky lotion.

Factors that influence whether or not a pregnant woman will get stretch marks include:Heredity: if your mother had them, it is likely you will too. Ethnicity: women with greater amounts of melanin in their skin are less prone. Water: ingested during pregnancy, keeping skin hydrated decreases the chance a woman will get stretch marks. Scratching: as your stomach expands, the skin may become scratchy. Do not scratch; instead, rub lotion or powder on to alleviate the itchiness. Exercise: daily to keep your skin supple and free from toxins. This will help by toning the skin of your body and increasing its elasticity.I found all of this very interesting?
I've been using Vaseline Cocoa Butter deep conditioning with vitamin E...this is my first pregnancy so I can't really say how it works especially since there are so many factors, but my friend used this throughout her pregnancy and she was stretch mark free... the best part is that it smells great and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and not sticky Good luck!
Have you heard of Lush products? They are all natural/organic products, and they have this thing called massage bars, and I love them! They have a Massage bar called Therapy, and it has a ton of neroli(spelling?) and cocoa butter that is good for strech marks. I used it on my strech marks, even before I got pregnant and it made my strech marks a whole lot lighter.
The massage bars are really moisturizing and smell good.

Well, even if it doesn't do any good for stretch marks, it sounds like heaven! I think I've heard of Lush. You can get it at some bigger department stores in the makeup area, right?

I live in the Los Angeles area so they have quite a few retail stores around here for lush, that is where I usually go. I think I have heard some deparment stores like Macy's that have their products in other areas. You can also go online, it just takes a couple of weeks to get your order if you do order online.
I got hooked on lush products, especially the bath bombs, they are the perfect treat after a long day!
I agree..... it smells totally gross. My mom got me burts bee's belly-bar, a solid lotion just to moisturize. I doubt it will help but I also don't want to look back and wonder if I had done something preventative would it have made a difference. Maybe crazy..... don't care, the new stuff is great.
