Playtime Question

My baby likes to play for a short while, she stares at her black and white picture books and I have a stuffed penguin that I make give her kisses that she likes, but after 10-15 minutes, she starts to cry, she kicks in the air like she is trying to crawl and she wants to grab toys but cant yet so she gets frustrated and doesnt want to play. A

    At that age we did about the same thing. She might be getting overstimulated. It's normal for some babies to not last as long with activity as others. My DS was the same way. He only had about 20 minutes of actual activity play before he was overstimulated or tired.

    The books are good, the penguin is good. Try taking her on a short walk just to the end of the street. Or carry her around the house to look at things. DS likes for me to sit him up against me at the kitchen bar while talking to DH. He just sat there and looked around for a bit, enjoying being a part of our conversation. Or, for calming activity, lay her down and sing to her without props, just smiling and laughing with her.

    ETA: DS just started grabbing his hanging toys last week.
