Re: ~~3rd Trimester Check In~~

  • Can I please be added (28w tomorrow) Due 12/8 with a boy. Name TBD.

I currently walk for 45min-1hr with my dog 5 days a week. Trying to remember to lift my 5lb weights to get my arms ready, but that has not consistently happened :-) Post-pg, once I'm cleared, I hope to be back at the gym 3-4x/week when DH gets home from work doing Body Pump. I'm in a wedding 6m pp, so I've got to get my butt in gear!

  • QOTD: I do not exercise at all now.  I'm super lazy and I feel terrible about it.  But, after the baby is here, I plan to take long walks with the baby in the stroller and use my treadmill.  I'm going to put off rejoining the gym for as long as possible if I can get good home workouts in.

  • Please add me too - I can't believe I'm in the 3rd tri!!!! Due date is December 7th, with a boy - we think the name will be Alexander Gregory, but not 100% sure since DH seems to change his mind a lot Stick out tongue

I have been walking 30-45 minutes 5 or 6 days a week, and doing some arm exercises with a resistance band. Need to be better about the arm things, they only happen occasionally, but the walking I've been really good about. I started at an hour, but about the beginning of the 2nd tri I cut it back a little bit. I hope to return to walking after the baby, but since it will be winter I'm not sure how that will work - don't like walking alone in the dark and DH will be at work during all daylight hours. Hopefully we'll have a mild winter and baby can go with me!

  • Can I be added too please!

Due date is Dec 15th, hit 27weeks tomorrow.

It's a boy!  His name is Sean.

I swim laps 2 days/week and walk 3 days/week.  After he is born I will probably try to up my swimming to at least 4 days/week.

  • I walk here and there, but nothing consistant....I feel guilty about it!!!  I wish I was better about it, but work really wears me out and I just don't seem to get my butt up to do it.  The weather is cooling off so I think I will start to walk a little more.  I used to go to the gym a lot, but I have NO motivation for that!

  • 35 weeks, wawhoo! I was crazy nesting this weekend and got all the blankets, bibs, socks and outfits washed. DH is taking the carseat to the firehouse today to be tested and then it is the sit and wait game :).

As far as exercise: At 20 weeks the dr told me to stop working out because I was always having contractions. Well last week I re-started going to the gym. I mostly just sit on the ab ball...it feels so good! I am trying to increase my squats and treadmill time so that I am physically prepared for what labor will bring.

Congrats to all of you third trimester gals, can you believe we are in the home stretch!

  • Can I also be added to the check in?  I am soo excited to be in 3rd tri!!

My due date is December 6 and we are having a girl, to be named Catherine!

QOTD: I regret to say I don't work out nearly as much as I should. I walk a couple of miles a couple of times a week and have a prenatal yoga video.  But I find that I am tired and end up skipping work outs a lot.  I need to get in gear so I'll be ready for labor though.  I actually ran 2-3 miles 3-4 times a week before BFP, and hope to eventually get back to that after I am cleared by my doc post-delivery.  But we'll see how that goes!!

  • Woohoo! Only 28 more days! Can't believe that!

Sadly, I do not have an exercise routine. Never have and I am sure that will change as soon as I have the babe. I take lots of walks but can honestly say that I have never stepped foot into a gym. I do plan on doing some sort of routine once Kate comes to get my body back in shape and toned again.

  • I can't believe how quickly I'm climbing the third Tri ladder - woohoo!

QOTD: What is your current exercise routine? What do you plan to do after the baby is born? Sadly, I do not have an exercise routine either.  Working from 9am to 6pm and getting home almost at 7pm makes it very hard to find time to squeeze anything in - especially since I'm beat after that long work day.

I'm sure I'll regret it after baby is here - I'll definitely be making time for working out then :)

  • hey, I caught the 3rd tri check-in!

I don't exercise now but I hope to get back into my aerobics classes a couple months or so after the baby is born.  I would say I'll go for walks but it will be winter and that just doesn't happen Stick out tongue
