Eh, not horrible, but nms. ?Yes- everyone will think of Jennifer Aniston. ?I know someone with a DD named Aniston and everyone assumed she named her for Jennifer.
Also, a celeb recently chose it (the girl who plays Lexi on Gray's) so in my mind, that means it's soon to become more popular.?

Would this be for a boy or a girl? I'm not crazy about it because it's way too gender-neutral. Plus I think of Jennifer Aniston. Lastly, it's got a made-up feeling about it if it's not a family name. Sorry.
I think it is too "Jennifer Aniston." I have heard it several times in the past few weeks. I think a celebrity recently used it, since I've never heard it mentioned as a girl name until this year.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
I like it. I don't think people would dwell on the JA idea.

My BIL and his wife will name their next girl Anniston Elizabeth (Anni for short). It is a family name for her side and they have named their DD and DS after family as well, so it "fits." They are not "pop culture" kind of people and SIL is not a Jennifer Aniston fan, but they like the name and it has meaning for them so they will use it.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Besides Jennifer, I think of it as a place name. Anniston is a city in my state. It just doesn't flow well at all to me, and doesn't sound pretty. There are a lot of beautiful girl names out there that end in 'n' or have the 'Ann' sound in them that are much better.
My first thought when I hear it is the town of Anniston, Alabama (but I live in the south). And the town is nothing really to brag about (no offense to anyone that may live there!) So I kinda don't love it....if it wasnt for the darn city, I think I would like it cuz it has a nice sound......but AL ruins it for me.

We know a little girl named Anaston and I never think of Jennifer. I think it's cute!
I prefer it spelled Anistyn, even though I usually hate the Ys....
